
Call for Presenters
The StoryStrong Conference invites facilitators, artists, educators, community leaders, and practitioners to submit proposals for the 2026 inaugural conference.
Presented by The StoryBridge Network, StoryStrong is a mission-driven gathering where storytelling, dialogue, and lived experiences are central to conversations about community well-being and social change.
We are especially interested in proposals that center community voices and offer practical tools for storytelling, communication, and community engagement.

2026 Conference Theme
Stories of Culture & Community
The inaugural StoryStrong conference explores how storytelling can celebrate cultural identity while strengthening community resilience and belonging.
Sessions should reflect how lived experiences, cultural knowledge, and creative expression can help communities navigate challenges and build stronger connections.
We welcome proposals that explore storytelling through diverse perspectives, disciplines, and creative practices.

Who Should Submit
We welcome proposals from individuals and groups, including:

Community facilitators and organizers

Educators and youth mentors

Social workers and community health practitioners
-
Storytellers, writers, and artists
-
Nonprofit leaders and advocates

Cultural leaders and knowledge keepers
Presenters from newcomer communities, youth groups, seniors, and other underrepresented voices are especially encouraged to apply.
Session Formats
The StoryStrong Conference will include a mix of dialogue, storytelling, and practical learning experiences. Possible formats include:
Interactive sessions focused on storytelling practices, communication skills, or community engagement.
Workshops
Multi-speaker conversations exploring issues related to culture, community dialogue, and lived experience.
Panel Discussions
Narrative or other forms of presentations that share personal or cultural experiences.
Storytelling Presentations
Sessions using writing, performance, visual arts, or other creative practices to explore identity and community.
Creative/Arts-Based Sessions
Session Timing
Most sessions will take place during the Saturday conference day (November 7).
Typical session lengths include:
• 45-minute storytelling presentations
• 60-minute workshops or panels
• 75-minute interactive sessions
Panel discussions may also be scheduled as part of the conference plenary sessions.
What Presenters Receive
StoryStrong values the knowledge, experience, and time that presenters contribute to the conference.
Selected presenters will receive:

One complimentary All-Access conference ticket (Friday reception + Saturday conference)

One additional ticket at 50% off the regular price

Promotion of your session through StoryBridge conference communications

The opportunity to share your work with a diverse audience of community members and practitioners
Honoraria may be available depending on conference funding and sponsorship support. Final honoraria details will be confirmed with presenters once funding levels are finalized.
Presenter Teams
Presenters may submit proposals individually or as part of a team. Presenters may submit for multiple sessions.
If your session includes multiple presenters:
• Please list all confirmed presenters in the submission form.
• Additional presenters may be added if the proposal is accepted.
Final presenter information must be confirmed by 29 June 2026 to ensure accurate program materials.

Proposals will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and applicants may receive a decision before the final submission deadline. Early Submissions are encouraged.
