Service Description

Develop the skills to guide storytelling circles, workshops, and dialogue-based storytelling experiences that foster connection and meaningful community engagement. This intermediate training builds on the foundations introduced in Level 1 and focuses on practical facilitation techniques for supporting individuals as they develop and share personal stories. Participants explore storytelling frameworks, practice guiding storytelling exercises, and learn how to facilitate reflective dialogue following storytelling. Next Cohort: Thursday and Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM September 24-25, 2026 In Person Training | Limited to 10-12 participants What You Will Gain Participants will: • Develop practical skills for facilitating storytelling circles and workshops • Learn storytelling frameworks such as artifact storytelling, Tree of Life, and narrative reflection • Practice guiding participants through the process of shaping and sharing personal stories • Build confidence facilitating dialogue and reflection following storytelling • Gain tools to design storytelling activities for community engagement programs Participants will also develop a short personal story during the training in order to experience the storytelling process from a participant perspective. Participants who complete all program requirements receive a Certificate of Advanced Practice. Who This Training Is For This workshop is designed for individuals who want to facilitate storytelling in community settings. Participants often include: • Nonprofit facilitators • Educators and youth workers • Community engagement professionals • Arts and culture facilitators • Social service practitioners • Community leaders interested in storytelling and dialogue Completion of Level 1 – Trauma-Sensitive Facilitation Foundations is recommended before participating in this training. Training Format Two days (14 hours, including lunch and breaks) featuring interactive learning, storytelling exercises, and peer discussion. This training is the second step in the StoryBridge facilitator certification pathway.
