Why Volunteer with StoryBridge?

StoryBridge volunteers play an essential role in building storytelling programs that support mental well-being, cultural connection, and community belonging.

Many volunteers join StoryBridge to:

  • Gain Canadian work experience

  • Gain nonprofit board leadership experience

  • Develop leadership and program coordination skills

  • Contribute to meaningful community initiatives

  • Build professional networks and references

StoryBridge welcomes volunteers from diverse backgrounds, including newcomers, students, professionals, and community members passionate about storytelling and social impact.

Leadership and Growth Opportunties

StoryBridge operates using a distributed leadership model. Volunteers can take on meaningful roles in governance, programs, projects, and organizational development while gaining practical experience in nonprofit leadership.

Many volunteers begin in program or operational roles and later move into project leadership or board governance positions.
