Conference Presentation

StoryStrong Conference

An Annual Gathering for Dialogue, Inclusion, and Social Change

A mission-driven conference where lived experiences take center stage to spark dialogue, strengthen belonging, and turn storytelling into action.

About the Conference

Many of the most important issues affecting our communities are rarely part of mainstream conversations.

StoryStrong creates space to explore questions such as:

  • What issues matter deeply within your community but are often overlooked in public conversations?

  • What challenges remain unsolved because communities lack opportunities for meaningful dialogue?

  • What cultural strengths and community knowledge should be celebrated and shared more widely?

By bringing people together to share stories, listen deeply, and learn from diverse experiences, StoryStrong advances the mission of The StoryBridge Network: empowering individuals and communities through the transformative power of storytelling.

    What Makes StoryStrong Different

Many conferences focus either on professional development or on specialized academic research.

StoryStrong bridges these worlds by placing lived experience at the center of the conversation.

    Mission-Driven

StoryStrong is a mission-first conference. The event exists to support the storytelling and community-building programs of StoryBridge.

    Lived Experience at the Core

Rather than treating lived experience as a supporting example, StoryStrong places it at the center of the conference. The voices of community members and beneficiaries shape the conversations, themes, and solutions explored.

    Human-Centered Dialogue

StoryStrong is designed for people—not sectors or industries. It brings together community members, practitioners, artists, and civic leaders to explore belonging and well-being as shared human priorities.

    Turning Stories Into Action

StoryStrong is not only about hearing powerful stories—it is about transforming narrative into action, giving participants tools and connections to support meaningful community change.
