Service Description

Learn how to facilitate storytelling spaces where lived experiences are shared with care, dignity, and meaningful dialogue. This introductory training explores the foundations of ethical and trauma-sensitive storytelling facilitation. Participants gain practical tools for guiding storytelling circles, supporting participants in sharing their experiences, and fostering respectful community dialogue. Next Cohort: Wednesdays, 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM (Central/Winnipeg Time) May 20 – June 3, 2026 Online training | Limited to 12–18 participants What You Will Gain Participants will: • Understand the principles of ethical and trauma-sensitive storytelling facilitation • Learn how to create safe and supportive storytelling environments • Develop skills for facilitating storytelling circles and dialogue • Practice listening and reflection techniques that support meaningful conversation • gain tools to integrate storytelling into community programs, workshops, and engagement initiatives Who This Training Is For This workshop is designed for: • Nonprofit facilitators • Educators and youth workers • Community engagement professionals • Arts and culture facilitators • Social service practitioners • Community leaders interested in storytelling and dialogue No previous storytelling facilitation experience is required. Training Format Three live online sessions (2.5 hours each) featuring interactive learning, storytelling exercises, and peer discussion. This workshop is the first step in the StoryBridge Community Storytelling Facilitator Certification pathway. Workshop Fee Sliding scale registration: $250 – $350 per participant Early Bird: $250 (Until April 30) Standard Rate: $300 Supporter Rate: $350 Limited to 12–18 participants to support meaningful dialogue. Organizations sending staff are welcome to register multiple participants.
